I've been wary of Ron DeSantis for awhile now on foreign policy because his congressional voting record and rhetoric was akin to Tom Cotton's and was especially awful on Ukraine and John Bolton endorsed him for his first congressional race back in 2012. That all said credit to him for following Trump's lead recently on the Ukraine war to an extent. I don't think he was ever a true ideologue like Lindsey Graham or John McCain. He's always been politically flexible and a pragmatist above all else. He was aligned with the neocons and Paul Ryan wing of the Republican Party for the longest time because that was the shortest route to political success. His career started when he was recruited at Yale Skull and Bones and went to Guantanamo and later went to Fallujah in Iraq. So he was a Deep State recruit for much of his adult life. However he grew up in a middle working class family household which means he always had dormant populist inclinations. Those inclinations have come back to surface when he became of Florida after initially embracing the Fauci approach to covid alà lockdowns then reversing course ever since even forming a grand jury to go after Pfizer. DeSantis above all else is a politician capable of making good or bad political decisions depending on the environment or who's advising. One person that comes to mind for comparison is George Corley Wallace. He started out a populist in the mold of big Jim Folsom but when he lost his first campaign for governor he went on full pro-segregationist platform to get elected governor in 1962 and remained on that train till the 1970s when during his second tenure in the governor's mansion he appointed blacks to his administration and especially his last term in the 1980s. The point of this long rant is that politicians will take whatever political tact they think will advance them to power. Ron DeSantis is like that. When he makes the right call more or less on Ukraine he should be praised (the fact he's being attacked for imitating Trump is a positive). The reason why he made that tact is his poll numbers are tanking in response to Republican primary voters looking into his previous congressional record and who's funding him (hint hint it's the same mega donors who selected Trump's most awful cabinet picks). I don't think he should run for President as he isn't ready for prime time. Trump for all his shortcomings still is the only choice for 2024. His foreign policy instincts are still the very best. Otherwise he wouldn't of spoken of getting along with Vladimir Putin and Russia when over 90% of Republican voters at the time and nearly every elected Republican in DC had (and still have) a very negative opinion of Putin. DeSantis' best path to President is spending 4 years as Trump's VP (which could easily still happen). But in the words of Raz0rfist if he wants to run let them have it out. Trump is making clear what's gonna happen if/when DeSantis declares so be ready.

My Brahma flock.

My light Brahma flock with some white Cochins and buff Brahmas in the mix. Older cockbird and 5 hens then a young pair I got from the national poultry show in Columbus, Ohio last month of a different bloodline. I’ve got seven birds (3 cockerels and 4 pullets) that are from my breeding flock hatched in the spring. These are Mark Peterson bloodlines. A fairly new friend of mine who hails from Minnesota (or sometimes Alabama). He retired a year ago and sold his birds off. I managed to get the last two pairs of lights. Later sold the two cockerels but still the older cockbird and hens I got from Mark about 2 years ago in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The Paleolibertarian Thesis

Oppose all unconstitional illegal foreign wars, interventions and giving out special favors to foreign governments (i.e. Israel).
Oppose all unjust taxation and regulations.
Oppose mask, vaccine mandates and internal passports.
Always support maximum liberty and absolute minimal government (which is preferably zero).
Stay tuned for edits and additions.

Israel allowed Hamas to attack and kill Israeli civilians as well as take many hostage in order to create the necessary impetus to clear out Gaza.
